About Us

Welcome to The Scarlet Scribes – where romantasy readers finally feel at home.

Like so many book lovers, we'd been members of book clubs before, but we always found ourselves wishing there was one dedicated entirely to the genre we loved most: romantasy. So, instead of waiting for someone else to create it, we decided to do it ourselves.

What started as cosy evenings in our homes, complete with themed decorations inspired by each month's book, quickly became something truly special. Every gathering was filled with unforgettable stories, laughter, passionate book discussions, and friendships that grew stronger with every page.

In February 2026, we decided it was time to open our little community to fellow romantasy lovers, and The Scarlet Scribes was born.

Today, we're proud to welcome readers who share our obsession with magical worlds, unforgettable characters, epic romance, and, of course, plenty of fictional book boyfriends.

Hayley

Hayley is a nurse, mum of one, and rarely seen without her Kindle in hand. She fell head over heels for romantasy after reading Fourth Wing, and she's been chasing that feeling ever since.

Her go-to author is Carissa Broadbent, while her favourite series has to be A Court of Thorns and Roses. If she had to choose just one fictional boyfriend, it would be Kingfisher from Quicksilver.

Natalie

Natalie is a proud mum of three and the owner of the incredibly successful Natalie-Ann Cake Design.

When she's not creating beautiful cakes, you'll usually find her reading the latest romantasy release, planning her next holiday, or enjoying a much-needed coffee.

She discovered her love of the genre through A Court of Thorns and Roses, and Sarah J. Maas remains her go-to author.

Her ultimate book boyfriend is Cassian, and her favourite series is Throne of Glass.

Favourite trope: Only One Bed (or even better... Only One Horse!)

NATASHA

Natasha is a HR Manager and mum of three who believes every great day starts with a coffee and ends with a Kindle.

She fell in love with romantasy thanks to Fourth Wing, and counts Liv Zander and Keri Lake among her favourite authors.

Her chosen book boyfriend is Zevander from Anathema.

When asked to pick a favourite series, her answer is simple: there are far too many to choose from!
