This is the best book club I have ever been a part of (and I've tried many including hosting my own) these girls host a wonderful and inclusive space and are super welcoming and clearly love what they do! The book club events are so beautiful and thought out and the additional events are also top tier, I would recommend this book club to anyone looking for a wonderful, inclusive, fun environment to make friends and read some fantastic books.

The owners lovely and welcoming and you can tell its not just a buisness to them. It really does feel like a safe space no matter how you present yourself. The only requirement is a love of romantasy. Been waiting for a space like this to pop up locally. Its more than just a book club as their events are top tier and tie into that romantasy theme too - amazing!

Where to even start? The Scarlett Scribes feels way more than a bookclub. The girls put so much effort into all the events including outside the monthly meet up. They offer instagram lives where you can go and chat, the messaging groups are always fun and all the cute little events outside of the meet up look and are fantastic. When I joined I was relatively new to fantasy/romantasy but I didn’t once feel judged for my lack of knowledge! Instead I was encouraged and recommended books that now have become some of my all time favourites! If you after a warm, cosy, safe space to explore your love for romantasy with like minded friends THIS is the bookclub for you!

I can honestly say joining the Scarlet Scribes has been one of my favourite bookish decisions 🥹💘
From the very first meet, the atmosphere was so welcoming.. a room full of people who love fantasy, romance and getting a little bit too emotionally attached to fictional characters 😌📖✨
What I loved most:
💬 Engaging discussions not just “did you like it?” but real deep dives into characters, themes, and theories
🖤 A supportive, friendly vibe.. perfect whether you come alone or with friends
📚 Amazing book choices.. especially if you’re a romantasy lover
✨ Fun extras: quizzes, prizes, and little details that make it feel special (the cocktails 🍸👀)
It’s the kind of space where you can fully be your bookish self.. whether you want to analyse every detail or just fangirl over your favourite characters 💘
If you’re thinking about joining a book club, I would 100% recommend giving the Scarlet Scribes a try 🫶

Joined the Scarlet Scribes at their first ever meet and greet and have enjoyed it ever since. The girls go the extra mile to make sure it is interactive and fun. Aswell as activities in between the monthly book club that include paint and sips, walk and chats, sound baths and much more. In addition you meet a great group of people with the same obsession as you, and get access to a groups chat to support and encourage your book buying addiction.

Scarlett scribes was exactly what I needed in my romantasy obsessed life 😍 such wonderful people chatting about all our favourite books 📚 💕 The actual meet up is so lovely, exploring our shared thoughts and theories alongside yummy themed cocktails 😍😉

You might think book clubs only exist in the movies - well, at least good ones like this. But from the very first moment I knew it was going to be just what I was looking for 🫶🏼 I’d wanted to join the minute I saw the girls and their signs, with books and wine on TikTok - I was sold. But I was nervous to join alone and make new friends (it’s not as easy as an adult). Tasha took special care to seat me with a gorgeous group of girls and I instantly felt less nervous. I’ve found my spot and it’s wonderful. 🥰✨
Not all your friends will read as much as you, like the same genres, or be as invested in books - but if you want a whole heap of friends to add into your circle who love romantasy, smut and strong badass FMCs - then you are in the right place.
Best decision (or challenge) I made in 2026. Period

Ive loved scarlet scribes book club so far! Much needed romance fantasy book club in Stockport! Everyone is super friendly & welcoming!
Ive been apart of book clubs before but this is definitely my fav, it’s been so nice to be around like minded people who share a love of fantasy books, sharing theories of books we all love, new books & growing my never ending tbr from book recommendations! Having videos from the authors of the books we’re reading is so fun too & such a unique touch to the book club!
The tables always look amazing as well! A lot of time & thought goes into the night, which i love!
Being able to have a drink, chat & have book themed activities makes the 2 hours fly by!
Themed cocktails, smut, crafty activities, book talk & like minded people what more could you want!🖤
